Head Chef Mark Green is coming up to his second year with us and we feel he has brought a superb level of consistency and flavour to our menu.

We continue to offer pub classics such as 100% Beef Burgers and our famous Fish & Chips often dubbed ‘Whale & Chips’. New on the menu are items such as Fish platters and Antipasti boards which are great for sharing or a meal in themselves.

The chips served at the Fleur have a superb reputation. They are sourced by our village potato dealer (yes people deal in potatoes) and are hand-cut and triple fried by the chef. Golden, crunchy, delicious! Why not share a melted Camembert served with a bucket of chips. A match made in heaven. Just make sure you leave room for your main.

For those of you who prefer a slightly more modern twist will be pleased to know that the Specials Board is being used to offer great local ingredients and fantastic new combinations of flavours such as a mixed grilled fish with creamy mash and local vegetables or the stuffed pork fillet with crispy parsnips, home-made apple sauce, and wilted spinach.  But please be aware these dishes do change daily and as they are sourced as locally as possible and are seriously delicious we cannot guarantee they won’t sell out quick!

Mark will continue to serve the Fleur’s favourite Sunday menu of roast lunches and a small selection of fish and vegetarian options, but please remember we can get quite busy especially at weekends, so bookings are advisable.

Senior lunch specials will still be available on Wednesday and Thursdays, offering two courses for just £7.75 or three courses for £10.50 to all those over 60.

Please see our Sample Menu page for more details of the current menu.
